Dr. Christine Kontomerkos

July 17, 1978  -  January 3, 2013

Founder of Trumbull Naturopathic Medicine and Acupuncture

Christine was a graduate of Trumbull High School and of Boston University, where she received two Bachelor degrees, one in Biology and the other in Philosophy. After she completed internships at Yale University Medical School's Boyer Center for Molecular Medicine and Department of Cardiothoracic Research, she spent months in South America studying the ancient and modern uses of medicinal plants with natives in the Amazon Rainforest, learning their traditions and their medicine.

Upon her return she went on to earn a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine and a Master's degree in Human Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport Nutrition Institute.

Christine's passion and dedication to help others resulted in the opening of her own private practice in Trumbull. Her unwavering aspiration to advance the art of natural healing solutions and medicines allowed her practice to grow into one of the area's most notable facilities. She deeply cared about her patients whose health and well-being were of paramount importance to her. She touched and enriched the lives of many people in the community through her sincere interest in ensuring they pursued a healthy lifestyle. Her favorite times were spent with family and friends where she always infused her passion for living into every event.

She is dearly missed by patients, friends and family, and will continue to be a integral part of the practice going forward.
